Sheffield finishes second at Coudersport

COUDERSPORT — Sheffield turned in a strong performance at the Coudersport Duals on Saturday, finishing second out of eight teams.
The Wolverines opened the day with a 46-30 win over Redbank Valley followed by a 48-18 win against Oswayo Valley. A dominant 48-24 win over Clarion advanced the Wolverines to the championship bracket where they beat Coudersport 48-18 before dropping the final match of the day to a tough Lewisburg team.
Collin Brown and Danah Campbell both turned in impressive performances going 5-0 on the day.
Seniors Landon Mead and Cooper Traister finished the day at 4-1.
First-year wrestler freshman Bryden Letendre picked up the first win of his career and showed a lot of improvement since the start of the season.
Abraxis co-op wrestlers Sawyer Andrews and Joseph Palmer scored much-needed pins in the Redbank Valley dual match to help the Wolverines pick up the win.
