Youngsville drops match to Cochranton

COCHRANTON — The Youngsville wrestling team dropped a tough match to Cochranton on Monday night 51-19.

“There was a lot of hustle in our wrestlers,” said David Myers on his team’s performance at Cochranton.

Ian Mancuso (126), Caden McCune (172), Cody Jesperson (heavyweight), and Allyson Henry (106) picked up wins.

Myers complimented McCune and Jesperson on their wins saying, “Caden McCune did another fine job at 172 and Jesperson overcame a few early mistakes to get a fall at heavyweight.”

He also says that despite resulting in a loss, “Logan (McDonald) dropped a hard fought decision to Stephen Martinec that was tied 2-2 in the 3rd period. Aidan Mancuso was wrestling a great match at 152 before getting caught.”

The Eagles are set to host the Cambridge Springs Blue Devils on Jan. 5 to which Myers says, “We have a two week break before we return to action and we’ll be using up the time to continue getting everyone up to speed.”

Starting at $4.00/week.
