Warren boys open with tourney win

BROOKVILLE -- Warren's boys basketball team had a nice start to the season in a 67-21 win over Brockway on Friday at the Brookville Tip-Off Tournament.

Parks Ordiway had 12 points, including three 3-pointers, and Owen Becker added 10 points as the Dragons jumped out to a 26-7 first-quarter lead.

"We created early turnovers and able to get transition hoops out of them," said Warren coach Jeff Berdine. "We had a big run to start the game and the third quarter."

The Dragons shut out Brockway in an 18-0 third quarter and cruised into today's championship game.

Ordiway finished with five 3-pointers and 22 points, and Becker had 18 points. Brady Berdine added 9 points and Konnor Hoffman had 6.

"The kids did a good job with making the extra pass, and finding the open man," said coach Berdine. "It was a very emotional week for these kids so I was glad to see a lot of smiles and teamwork."

KNIGHTS FALL TO BRADFORD

DUKE CENTER -- Eisenhower opened its 2021-22 season at the Otto-Eldred Tip-Off Tournament, falling to Bradford, 49-27.

Cam Austin led the Owls with 20 points.

Wyatt Lookenhouse paced the Knights with 13.
