CORRY — Eisenhower didn’t end up with a win in the Corry Christmas Tournament, but head coach Eric Mangini saw some good things anyway.

“I was proud of the second-half effort by our guys,” he said after the Knights suffered a 50-44 setback to Northwestern in the consolation game Thursday night. “The turnovers at the end we just couldn’t overcome. With region play starting next week, games like this will help us. We will be ready.”

Wyatt Lookenhouse led Eisenhower with 24 points in a tight game that saw Northwestern lead 29-21 at halftime.

“I thought Kyler (Black) and Wyatt were both strong on the boards tonight,” Mangini said. “Their rebounding and second effort on the offensive boards was critical to us keeping it close.”

Starting at $4.00/week.
