GROVE CITY — The season goes on.
After a strong performance at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association District 10 Championship cross country meet in Grove City, Warren’s Katie Beyer and Shyann Rulander will be headed to the state meet this week in Hershey. Beyer finished 12th overall in a time of 21:21.8, while Rulander was right behind her in 14th with a time of 21:22.3. Warren’s Kasey Kophazy just missed out on the top 50, finishing 56th with a time of 23:32.2.
Joining Rulander and Beyer at the state meet will be Eisenhower’s Alex Hummel who took 14th place in the boys race in a time of 18:54.5. Just missing out on qualifying for the state meet was Griffin Williams who took 19th in a time of 19:05.2, Joe Mistretta in 42nd with a time of 20:04.2 and Nathan Hanson in 88th with a time of 20:04.2.
Eisenhower’s varsity girls team took 13th place in the Varsity A girls race with 281 points. Sydney Cronmiller finished 45th with a time of 24:26, Chloe Lasecki finished 62nd with a time of 25:47, Gracie Anthony finished in 70th with a time of 26:36, Peyton Kellogg finished 73rd with a time of 27:11, Brooke Andersen finished 89th with a time of 28:37 and Kendra Chase finished 90th with a time of 28:47.
