MEADVILLE — Katie Madigan had 15 kills and 16 digs while Halee Mineweaser added 26 assists, nine digs and two blocks as Warren swept Meadville 27-25, 25-22, 26-24 in Region 5 girls volleyball Tuesday.

Carly Beers had eight kills and 10 digs; Ellee Irwin had nine kills, eight digs and three aces; Summer Lucks had 10 kills; and Kylie Fehlman had four blocks and three kills for the Dragons.

“This was an important varsity region win against a solid Meadville team. We started slow but were able to hang on with some tough serving at the end of the games,” Warren head coach Mike Dolan said. “Our blocking and defense were solid and at times the offense looked good taking effective swings. We look to keep playing well with two more region games next week.”

Meadville won the jayvee match 25-15, 23-25, 15-8.

Maddy Jones led Warren with five kills, seven digs and two aces; Lindsay Madigan had three kills and five assists; and Alyssa Farr had four assists.
