After two tough losses against Villa Maria and McDowell, Warren swept West Middlesex, 25-8, 25-21, 25-10, on Saturday at Warren Area High School.

“It was nice to get that first win out of the way,” said Warren coach Mike Dolan, whose Dragons are 1-2 in the regular season. “We’ve played well for the most part this season so far, but we know we have to keep working. We have a very tough schedule ahead and a really good region. Next up, Sharpsville at home on Monday and then at Fort LeBoeuf on Tuesday.”

On Saturday, Halee Mineweaser had 20 assists, 8 digs, 1 kill, and a block; Katie Madigan, 7 kills, 10 digs, 3 assists, 1 block; Carly Beers, 7 kills, 2 aces, 5 digs; Kylie Fehlman, 3 kills, 1 block, 1 ace; Ellee Irwin, 4 kills; Lindsay Madigan, 2 assists, 1 dig; Summer Lucks, 10 digs, 3 aces, and; Maddy Jones, 1 kill.

Warren also defeated West Middlesex in the JV match, 25-15, 25-19. Paris Sivak and Lilly Hokel led with 4 kills each, Lily Walker and Jones added 3 kills each, Lindsay Madigan 10 assists, Sophie Walker 12 digs, and Bailey Roudybush 3 digs.
