RUSSELL -- Warren is 8-1 in Region 4 after its second shutout of Eisenhower, this time 2-0 on Wednesday.
Parks Ordiway scored twice in the first half, and the Dragons held on for its second straight win after falling 1-0 to Franklin last week.
"Both teams stood strong and played a quality defensive game," said Warren assistant coach Chris Darling. "It's really great to watch the matchup between the two teams in our county. Eisenhower always comes ready to play and I thought they delivered tonight. They have some young and upcoming talent like (Abe) Wolf, (Case) Seymour, and (Logan) Degnan, to name a few. Our Kinzua travel program is really helping get these kids ready."
In fact, Seymour and Degnan were teammates with several now-Warren freshmen last fall when Kinzua Soccer Club was undefeated for the 14-15-year-old PA West Soccer championship.
"Warren's defense has really been a strong spot this year," said Warren coach Denny Flatt of the Dragons' fifth shutout win. "We have a nice mix of seasoned veterans in (Ricky) Madril, (Ethan) Best and (Jack) Darling, mixed with a talented freshmen duo of Finn Ordiway and Chase Sitler. Every game matters at this point in the season and they have delivered."
