Warren lost 1-0 to Franklin in a Region 4 battle Thursday at War Memorial Field.

The Dragons and Knights are now each 6-1 in the region. North East entered Thursday 5-1 with a match at Fort LeBoeuf later in the day.

Franklin scored just four minutes into the game on a penalty kick on a foul just inside the box.

Franklin was held to only one shot on goal for the remainder of the game, but Warren couldn’t find the back of the net despite ample opportunity.

The loss drops Warren to 6-3 overall after early-season losses in the Gator Cup Tournament hosted by Allegany-Limestone in New York.

Ethan Best, Ricky Madril, Finn Ordiway, Jack Darling and Corban Reinard led the team in tackles and steals.

Warren will host Mercyhurst Prep on Saturday.
