FAIRVIEW -- Cathedral Prep fired a 326 and won the first Region 6 megamatch of the season on its fifth-golfer tie-breaker over Erie on Thursday at Beechwood Golf Course.
McDowell was third with a 340 followed by General McLane (346), Meadville (350), Warren (371) and Harborcreek (384).
Erie's Kyle Westfall was the individual medalist with a 72 followed by Meadville's Michael Mahoney (76), Cathedral Prep's Breckin Taylor (78), McDowell's John Feretti (78) and Erie's Evan Nadzam (80).
Warren's top golfer was Owen Blum, in a three-way tie for sixth after shooting an 81.
The Dragons' Braddock Damore shot an 82 and teammate Owen Becker had a 91. Collin Ellis (117) and Conner Zaffino (128) rounded out Warren's team.
