Warren is 11-0 after its second boys tennis sweep this season over St. Marys on Saturday at Betts Park.

“I’m very proud of the team; 11-0 is a great accomplishment,” said Warren coach Travis Myler. “We expect to finish the regular season undefeated and make a statement at the district tournament this year.”

In District 9-style scoring, the District 10 Dragons swept St. Marys, 7-0.

At No. 1 singles, Logan Fincher won 6-3, 6-2 over Dylan Aiello; Wes Kiehl 6-0, 6-1 over Ryan Holjencin; Luke Smelko 6-0, 6-1 over Jon Chamberlain; and Mark Lynds 3-6, 6-1 (10-7) over Nate Eckert.

In doubles, Kiehl and Fincher won 8-1 over Aiello and Holjencin; Ian Darling and Max Harrison 8-5 over Eckert and Liam Brem; and Seth Conarro and Will Strassburg 8-2 over Dominic Aiello and Dawson Krug.

“Our seniors have really taken this opportunity to show their leadership and development as an example for the rest of their teammates,” said Myler. “We have a deep schedule next week. Monday we are away to Kennedy Catholic. Tuesday we are home to Sharon. Thursday we are away to Rocky Grove. We are also hopeful that we can reschedule Elk County (postponed Friday). Then we have district singles on Saturday.”
