The District 10 4A bracket in softball might be more competitive than baseball, if that’s possible.

While Warren and Villa Maria battled every inning in their first-place vs. second-place matchups in Region 5, Fort LeBoeuf and Conneaut have come on strong with big wins of late.

While Hickory stood out in Region 4, Franklin quietly had a strong regular season.

Warren (14-3) will play Franklin (13-6) at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Allegheny College. The Dragons game follows Conneaut (11-7) vs. Fort LeBoeuf (13-5) at noon at the same location; that game is on the other side of the bracket.

Also on the other side of the eight-team bracket is Villa Maria (15-3) vs. Grove City (9-9) at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Penn State Behrend.

If Warren wins Tuesday, the Dragons would meet the winner of Tuesday’s game between Region 4 champion Hickory (17-2) and General McLane (7-8), which is at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Slippery Rock University.
