EMPORIUM — Sheffield’s boys track and field was a 92-26 winner over host Cameron County on Tuesday, but fell to Coudersport, 89-36.

Leading the boys was sophomore Lucas McNeal, who took home the high jump with a height of 5 feet, 6 inches and the long jump with a mark of 16-10.

Sophomore Garret Waters took the 110-meter hurdles in 19.63 and teammate Isiah Valentin was a winner in the 300-meter hurdles (52.4). Sheffield’s 400-meter relay team of Landon Mead, Valentin, Waters and McNeal won the race with a time of 48.05, just above the time of 47.6 for district qualifying.

In the girls contests, Coudersport topped Sheffield 100-33 and Cameron County was a 95-43 over the Wolverines.

For Sheffield, senior Emily Leichtenberger took home the javelin with a throw of 102-4, while Emily Foster took home the high jump with a height of 4-7, just missing districts on her last jump.
