Warren girls improve record to 18-3

CORRY — With District 10 5A playoffs on the horizon, Warren’s girls basketball team improved to 18-3 overall — and finished at 9-3 in Region 6 — with a 39-19 win Saturday at Corry.

The Dragons “didn’t shoot well” overall, according to head coach Lisa LaVan, but won their seventh straight and their fourth this week.

Three-pointers carried the Dragons, including four from Emma Ruhlman and three from Riley Childress.

Ruhlman, who led Warren with 18 points and 10 rebounds, is approaching 1,000 career points already as a junior. Childress finished with 11 points and six assists.

The Dragons finish their regular season today when they host Oil City.
