Hole-in-one

Mark Silvis recorded a hole-in-one on the par 3 15th at Jackson Valley Golf Course last Thursday.

Silvis, 72, used a 4-iron from 165 yards on a windy day for the third ace of his career.

Jeff McClement, Tim Watkins and Denny Holcomb witnessed the hole-in-one, which was Jackson Valley’s first of the year.

Trap shooting

The Warren County Summer Trap League preseason meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sugar Grove.

The meetings are open to any shooters, but each team should have two representatives present for any voting purposes.

Bowling

Amy Willsie led the way in the Youngsville Ladies League, firing a 179-512 at Valley Bowling Center.

Other scores were Jen Robinson 177-489, Cindy Shafer 174-460 and Lynda Slocum 181-456.
