Warren girls hit 10 treys, down GM, 52-25

Warren hit 10 3-pointers on the way to a 52-25 Region 6 win over visiting General McLane on Monday at Warren Area High School.

Emma Ruhlman hit four treys and Riley Childress three for Warren, which improved to 15-3 overall. The Dragons are 7-3 and tied for second place with McDowell in the region.

Warren had not met the Lancers this season, and will now play two days in a row, concluding with today’s game at General McLane.

“GM and us have always been battles,” said Warren coach Lisa LaVan. “We have been in each other’s regions every year. So, yeah, it is always a game we are up for.”

Monday’s game was the first time Warren has hit 10 3-pointers this season, and the first time all three Ruhlman sisters connected. Speaking of double-doubles, Emma Ruhlman is averaging a double-double in points and rebounds for the season. She had 18 points and eight rebounds on Monday. Childress had 15 points and six assists. Kelsey Stuart finished with 9 points in the win.
