Stuart comes up big as Warren knocks off Erie

ERIE — A 22-8 halftime lead held up as Warren beat Erie High, 49-33, in nonleague girls basketball Friday.

Emma Ruhlman led the Dragons (14-3) with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Rylee Childress had 13 points, six assists and five rebounds.

But the story was senior Kelsey Stuart, who supplemented Warren’s 1-2 punch of Ruhlman and Childress with 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Warren head coach Lisa LaVan was also quick to give credit to starters Teagan Paris and Gracie Ruhlman, who helped hold the Royals to just 13 field goals. Erie also scored just 18 points in the first three quarters.
