Eisenhower sweeps five matches in Sharon

SHARON — Easton Headman, Gannon Jaquay, Anthony Rivera and Cael Black each went 5-0 as Eisenhower picked five victories at the Sharon Duals on Saturday.

In a 50-22 win over Ringgold, Rivera (113 pounds), Headman (138 pounds), Alex Hummel (145 pounds), Jaquay (152 pounds), Josh Parker (172 pounds), Tristen Wilcox (215 pounds) and Black (285 pounds) earned takedowns. Tucker Lindell (160 pounds) and Benji Bauer (189 pounds) picked up wins via major decision.

The Knights then beat Sharon, 40-24, behind pins from Jaquay, Black, Rivera, Cole Kellogg (120 pounds) and Jacob Williams (132 pounds). Headman earned a win via major decision and Derek Childs (126 pounds) won via forfeit.

In a 43-11 win over Elizabeth Forward, Jaquay had a takedown and Headman earned a major decision while Rivera won via decision. Black, Michael Vanatta (285 pounds), Lindell and Williams won via forfeit.

The Knights then beat Maplewood, 39-33, behind pins from Williams, Headman and Hummel. Black earned a decision while Rivera, Lindell and Jaquay won via forfeits.

Eisenhower closed the day with a 60-9 win over Sharpsville. Headman, Michael Beaver (189 pounds), Brock English (172 pounds), Lindell, Jaquay, Hummel and Vanatta earned takedowns while Rivera, Black and Kellogg won via forfeits.

UNION CITY DUALS

UNION CITY — Sheffield won three matches at the Union City Duals on Saturday.

In a 48-12 victory over North East, Collin Brown (113 pounds), A.J. Barnes (120 pounds) and Trenton Mead (138 pounds) had pins.

Chase Kyler (106 pounds), Cooper Traister (152 pounds), Landon Mead (172 pounds), Joe Donato (189 pounds) and Ethan Finch (215 pounds) won via forfeits.

The Wolverines then topped Northwestern, 42-15. Mead, Finch and Danah Campbell (285 pounds) had pins while Traister, Jake Davidson (189 pounds), Kyler and Collin Brown (113 pounds) won via forfeits.

Finally, Sheffield edged Union City, 42-30, behind pins from Traister, Mead, Finch, Campbell, Kyler and Barnes. Brown also won via forfeit.

Youngsville also won a pair of matches at the Union City Duals.

The Eagles topped North East, 51-12, with Logan McDonald (132 pounds) and Aidan Mancuso (138 pounds) earning takedowns. Allyson Henry (113 pounds) won via a 14-8 decision while Collin Clough (145 pounds), Gavin Bundy (152 pounds), Michael Crane (160 pounds), Caden McCune (172 pounds), Damon Reese (189 pounds) and Cody Jesperson (215 pounds).

Youngsville then beat Northwestern, 40-22. Jesperson picked up a pin and Reese earned a major decision while Crane, McCune, Henry, Clough and Bundy won via forfeits.
