Eisenhower boys rebound nicely
Trumbull, Darling help Knights rally for road win vs. Corry
CORRY — It was Eisenhower’s turn for a big comeback.
Twenty-four hours after letting a big lead slip away in a loss to Youngsville, the Knights — led by Owen Trumbull and Curt Darling — rallied to knock off Corry, 50-47, in a nonleague basketball game Wednesday night.
Behind 7 points apiece from Trumbull and Darling, Eisenhower outscored the Beavers 18-5 in the fourth quarter to claim the come-from-behind victory.
Trumbull finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Darling had 16 points and Luke Smelko chipped in with 11 for the winners who trailed 31-23 at halftime and 42-32 after three periods.
Logan Joncas paced Corry with 18 points.
