BOYS SOCCER

WARREN IMPROVES

TO 8-0

FRANKLIN–Warren improved to 8-0 on the year with an 8-0 shutout of District 10 Region 4 opponent Franklin on Thursday.

JT Blum picked up a hat trick, while John Page and Parks Ordiway each picked up two goals to lead the victors. Mark Lynds grabbed a goal and an assist, Wesley Kiehl two assists and Jack Darling two assists in the win while goaltender Alex Ferry notched his sixth shutout of the year.

“Our defense continues to impress,” Coach Denny Flatt said. “Alex Ferry and the defense, eight games and only three goals have been scored. Midfield, we continue to play really well.”

While Ordiway has continued his offensive showcase through the early portion of the year, the Dragons are now getting contributions from across the lineup to supplement that play.

“One person can’t do all of the scoring. (Opponents) are going to key on that person,” Flatt said. “As teams get to know our style of play, we are going to be more creative every game.”

Warren travels to Eisenhower on Monday.
