Sheffield’s Finch takes fourth alongside nation’s finest

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Sheffield’s Ethan Finch took fourth place in the 195-pound weight class at the 21st annual Super 32 Challenge.
Finch started off hot, winning via pin twice with one against third-ranked Aiden Warren out of Indiana.
Finch went on to make get a little revenge from a loss in Missouri three weeks ago, defeating Joey Braunfels, 11-2. Braunfels is an Illinois state champion.
The first loss for Finch came at the hands of Ohio’s Seth Shumate, who ranks second in the nation, 9-5.
Finch rebounded to win three matches in a row. First, was an 8-4 win over Florida ranked (fourth) Dedrick Marshall, then a 3-2 win over Washington state champion Isiah Anderson and finally a 9-1 win over New Hampshire state champion Conor Maslanek.
Finch’s second, and final, loss was to ninth-in-the-nation Martin Cosgrove.
