RUSSELL — Eisenhower’s seventh-grade basketball team won a thriller Thursday, edging out Beaty Warren, 21-20.

For Beaty Warren, scoring was led by Leyna Irwin with 12 points, including two 3-pointers. Meea Irwin and Tori Solberg both contributed 4 points each and Morgan Alexander had 1 point. The scoring for Eisenhower was led by Clara Steinberg with 9 points, Laney Font with 8 and Sam Childs with 4 points.

The Warren Lady Dragons eighth-grade team remained undefeated, beating Eisenhower, 52-25. Scoring was led by Alana Stuart with 16 points, including two 3-pointerss, Alyssa Farr with 13 points, Lindsay Madigan 14, Lilly Walker 5 and Emma Gray also contributed a bucket.

For the Knights, scoring was led by the Knights’ only eighth-grader Tracey Jakubczak with 14 points, Becca Penley with 4, Laney Font with 4, Clara Steinberg with 2 and Sam Childs with 1.
