Sensory friendly Trunk or Treat
A sensory friendly Trunk or Treat event will be held on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Church in Warren. There will be snacks and sensory friendly activities. In addition to a calming area, the event will not include jump scares, strobe lights and costumes are not required. Alternative treats will be available, as well. The event is free and open to the public. Any donations would help fund phase two improvements at Lacy Park.
WCHS to hold Vets Day event
The Warren County Historical Society will be holding a Veterans Appreciation Day" event at the Wilder Museum in Irvine on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The museum will be open free to veterans on that day to "explore the extensive military alcove of the Wilder Museum as we honor those who served," Event Coordinator Casey Ferry said. Veterans and active duty personnel are encouraged to with the "Veterans of Warren County" book which is part of the museum' archive. In addition to goodie bags for veterans provided by AsceraCare Hospice, guests are invited to bring a framed and identified photo of a World War II soldier from Warren County to add to the museum's "Wall of Honor."
