WARREN — The Eisenhower junior varsity football team took advantage of a pair of turnovers on special teams and converted them into points en route to an 18-12 victory over the Warren jayvees on Monday at War Memorial Field.

Connor Younger blocked a punt for a safety in the first half and and Benji Bauer tallied the game-winning touchdown on an 8-yard run with 1:22 remaining in the game. The decisive score was set up when the Knights took over possession deep in Warren territory after an errant snap from center as the Dragons were in punt formation.

Bauer also tallied a first-half touchdown and Garrett Jensen connected with Michael Beaver on the two-point conversion pass. Defensively, the Knights’ Wyatt Lookenhouse intercepted a pass in the end zone to thwart a Warren scoring threat.

Tommy Nyquist scored both touchdowns for the Dragons.
