Pennsylvania has strong showing at Corporate Cup

The 2020 Corporate Cup Soccer Showcase was held at Bradner Stadium in Olean, N.Y., on Sunday. The match was played after an 11-week postponement due to COVID-19. The contest featured standout players from New York and Pennsylvania representing 21 high schools. Six boys players representing Warren Area High School were selected after a series of tryouts in St. Marys. The Pennsylvania squad defeated New York 4-1, for their first victory since its inception in 2017. The Warren players included Zane Anderson, Jack Darling, Ian Darling, captain Ryon Flatt, Wesley Kiehl and John Page. Denny Flatt, WAHS coach, served as an assistant coach. The Pennsylvania girls also beat New York, 3-2. Kyleigh Wilson, Madeline Fadale and Georgie Bickling represented Warren. Jeremy Bickling, WAHS coach, served as an assistant coach. Georgie Bickling assisted on a goal by Chanell Britten of Brockway and Wilson scored the eventual game-winning goal for Pennsylvania.
