The 2020 Jim Riggs Memorial Champions golf tournament has been canceled.

The decision was made recently after considering a number of factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plans for the 2021 tournament have already begun. Club champions from 2019 will be eligible to participate, in addition to the 2020 club champs.

The event was the idea of Riggs, the late Post-Journal sports editor, who started the tournament in 1990.
