JCC athletes honored for academics
The Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) has recognized 51 Jamestown Community College student-athletes as Academic All-Conference selections for the 2019-20 academic school year.
To be recognized, honorees must have earned at least a 3.30 grade point average and a minimum of 24 credit hours during the 2019-20 academic school year and participated in one season of a sport. Those with an asterisk (*) next to their name earned at least a 3.50 GPA and those with two asterisks (**) earned a 3.75 GPA or better.
In total, 16 student-athletes earned a 3.75 GPA or better while 17 student-athletes earned at least a 3.50 GPA.
Women’s basketball led the women’s teams with eight honorees, followed by women’s soccer and volleyball having seven honorees each. The softball team included four student-athlete honorees.
Men’s soccer and baseball had eight honorees each. The wrestling team included four honorees, men’s golf had two honorees, and men’s basketball had one honoree.
