WNYPGA Jr. Tour competes in North East
NORTH EAST, Pa. — Max Vaughn of Lakewood. New York, fired a 4-over 76 to finish second in the Boys 16-18 Division during WNYPGA Junior Tour play at Lake View Country Club on Sunday.
Matthew Moonan of Bradford took first in the College Boys Division with a 5-over 77 and Spencer Cornelius of Bradford was first in the Boys 16-18 Division with a 2-over 74.
Maddy Catalano of Lewiston, New York won the College Girls Division with a 20-over 93.
Dan White of Lakewood, New York, shot a 110 in the Boys 16-18 Division.
In the Boys 13-15 Division, Joshua Bradley of Greece, New York, and Alexander Schickling of Hamburg, New York tied for first with 7-over 79s. Lucas Hoffman of Fredonia, New York, fired a 96.
In the Girls 16-18 Division, Josephine Corey of Lakewood was the only competitor and shot a 98.
The Girls 13-15 Division featured a tie between Clarence Center, New York’s Rosalie DiNunzio and Erie’s Katie Caryl with 100s.
Evan Maloney of Jamestown, New York, led the Boys 9-Hole Division with a 9-over while Ryan Kelly of Fredonia, New York was 10-over and Jordan Kelly of Fredonia, New York was 14-over.
On Saturday, Vaughn fired a 7-over 79 to take third in the Boys 16-18 Division while White was fourth at Downing Golf Course Harborcreek. Cornelius took first with a 1-under 71.
In the College Boys Division, Moonan was first with a 2-under 70.
Kevin Zhao of Clarence, New York, took first in the Boys 13-15 Division with a 7-over 79. Hoffman was sixth with an 85.
Corey shot a 95 in the Girls 16-18 Division.
Lily Zhang of Amherst, New York, was first in the Girls 13-15 Division with a 4-over 75.
Ryan Kelly edged out Jordan Kelly in the Boys 9-Hole Division by 10 strokes.
