Low-risk youth sports in WNY can resume July 6

ALBANY — Western New York is expected to enter Phase 3 of the state’s regional phased reopening plan on Tuesday, which means that low-risk youth sports can begin next month.

That announcement was made Sunday by Gov. Andrew Cuomo during a press conference in Albany.

According to the state, low-risk youth sports include baseball, softball, gymnastics, field hockey, cross country and crew. While those activities can resume, only two spectators per child will be allowed to attend the sporting event.
