Senior Day — Dakota Chase

Recognizing our senior athletes from the almost 2020 spring season

Dakota Chase

Today’s senior is Dakota Chase of the Eisenhower baseball and trapshooting teams:

Parents: Steve and Chris Chase

Spring sports: Baseball and trap

Uniform number: 28

Coaches: Baseball — Clint Course and Derrick Jenson; trap — Ron Trawick and Carl Black

Favorite sports memories: Baseball — Saturday practices, bus rides, McDonald’s, coming in to the guys after hitting my third home run of the game at Maplewood, CiCi’s eating contests, and pizza from coach on Friday nights; trap — States and nationals, and hotels with the boys.

Favorite thing about being involved in sports: Making friends that will last forever, the brotherhood, challenging myself to be better every game or every shoot, and having fun with friends.

What I will miss about high school sports: Spending weeks with my friends training and hanging out, the competition, but most of all, the bond between players.

What living through the crisis has taught me: Nothing is for sure. Be thankful for what you had and that you had the opportunity to play high school sports. Never take anything for granted, and don’t blink because it’ll be over before you know it.

If I could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?: Montana

Preferred pet: Dogs

Favorite hobby: Weightlifting

Favorite social media platform: Instagram

Repeat playlist: Lil Wayne

Surprised to know about me: I love to cook.

Best piece of advice someone gave me: Keep it simple, stupid.

Plans after graduation: Join the PSI program to become a lineman.

Message to underclassman: Work hard. If you can dream it, you can make it happen.
