Youngsville, Warren boys hoops to play doubleheader at Oil City

Youngsville’s cheerleaders and student section welcome the boys basketball team, with junior Brady Olewine in front, on to the court for their regular-season finale against Eisenhower.

Oil City High School is the place to be for Warren County’s high school basketball teams.

On Saturday, the Warren girls joined the Youngsville and Warren boys in a Warren County quarterfinal sweep with a 61-30 win over Meadville.

Now, all three will be playing their semifinal games at the same spot.

The boys’ games will be part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, with Youngsville and Farrell tipping off their Class 2A semifinal game at 6 p.m. They will be followed at 7:30 (or 20 minutes after the completion) by Warren and Hickory in their Class 4A semifinal.

The Warren girls, meanwhile, will take their turn at the home of the Oilers on Wednesday when they take on Grove City in their Class 5A semifinal at 6 p.m. They will be followed by the other 5A semifinal between Slippery Rock and Harbor Creek.

The other boys Class 2A semifinal between Cambridge Springs and Lakeview will be played at Slippery Rock University at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, while the other 4A semifinal featuring Harbor Creek and Grove City will be at Meadville High School on Tuesday at 7:30.
