Lady Knights fall at Ridgway

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Ridgway used its slow pace of play to great effect on Friday, topping the visiting Eisenhower Lady Knights 39-22.

EHS trailed by just four at halftime, but Ridgway was able to pull away late, outscoring them by nine in the fourth quarter.

“We were right with them, and they got a little bit of a lead on us,” said Eisenhower coach Mike Logue. “We just ran out of gas defensively.”

Logue also noted that turnovers hurt his squad.

Lilee Renninger led with a team-high eight points for Eisenhower, while Emiley Wheeler had six rebounds and three steals and Bella Marino five assists.

Christina Fullem paced Ridgway with 13 points.

“Ridgway was able to slow the pace down and run their offense,” Logue added. “We like to go a little faster, but we couldn’t really get into it. We had too many turnovers.”

Eisenhower returns to action on Monday at Cochranton.
