Youngsville falls to Maplewood
Maplewood pinned its way past Youngsville on Wednesday, earning falls in six matches en route to a 47-9 win over the host Eagles
The highlight of the night for the Tigers came at 195, when standout JD McFadden picked up his 100th career victory with a first-period pin.
For the Eagles, Collin Clough had a pair of second-period takedowns en route to a 9-4 decision over Lucas Kennedy in the final match of the night at 138. Logan McDonald also won via forfeit for YHS.
Youngsville freshman Alan McAllister battled Joey King, the top-ranked Class AA wrestler in the Northwest Region. McAllister hung with King for nearly the entire first period before King got him on his back for a fall.
There were four matches that were not contested and two more that were won via forfeit.
