Williams wins it for Ike

Drew Williams capped Eisenhower’s strong night behind the arc with a game-winning 3-pointer to give the Knights a 57-54 Region 3 win over visiting Cochranton Friday.

As a team, the Knights connected on 10 3-pointers for the game to help them rally from an 8-point halftime deficit.

Cochranton (1-10 overall, 1-3 Region 3) led 28-20 at the half, but the Eisenhower (3-7, 1-3) offense exploded for 37 second-half points. The Knights hit four 3-pointers in the third quarter, and three more in the fourth, including Williams’ final at the buzzer.

Jaiben Walker had 19 points for the Cardinals and Jon Gallo added 10 in the loss.

Jared Martone paced the Knights with a game-high 20 points. Curt Darling had 13 and Williams eight in the win.

Eisenhower heads to Region 3 leader Cambridge Springs Tuesday.
