Eagles topple Bulldogs

Youngsville traveled to Tidioute on Monday and used a 20-7 second-quarter run to spearhead a 58-32 victory.

Four Youngsville players scored in double figures, part of a balanced effort paced by Sadie Hoffman’s 12 points.

Nakiesha Krouse had a strong game for the Bulldogs, connecting on four 3’s en route to a game-high 17 points.

“Lack of rebounding and too many second-chance shots from the inside from Youngsville dug us into a hole,” said Tidioute coach Christy Valentine. “Youngsville drove all night into the paint and took it to the basket hard and without communication and sloppy defense on our end, they took advantage and took control of the paint. Youngsville had four players in double digits and when that happens you can almost guarantee a win.”

Kenzie Olewine, Chloe Senz and Mallory Sherrard were the other players in double figures for Youngsville.

Angelina Sabella had 7 points and 5 rebounds for Tidioute, while Kelsey Nuttall had 7 rebounds and Shelby PRoctor 6 steals and 5 rebounds.

Youngsville won the JV game, 31-13. Mia Rafalski had 13 points for the Eagles and Lexis Drukenbrod 6 for TCCS.
