HUGH HARRISON AND SYDNEY FREDERES

The Warren Dolphins YMCA Swim Team hosted a dual meet against the Franklin Flyers YMCA team on Dec. 7. Warren won the meet overall.

Each of the individual age groups won as well, except for the seniors who lost by a narrow margin. There were many strong performances, including the new district qualifying swims of Chris Orth in the 50 meter butterfly and Hugh Harrison in the 200 meter backstroke. Harrison’s 200 meter backstroke time also broke the junior record previously held by Andrew Beyer. Sydney Frederes broke her first team record in the 100 meter freestyle in the 8 and under division. That record was previously held by teammate Melissa Nasibu. The Dolphins next swim against the Jamestown Jets this Saturday, also at the Warren YMCA.
