Runners ready for state X-C meet

All of the hard work paid off for Warren’s Naomi Hahn and Katie Beyer and Eisenhower’s Ethan Kellogg.

All three will make the trip to Hershey for Saturday’s PIAA cross country championships, with Hahn and Beyer competing in the Class 2A girls race and Kellogg in the Class A boys race.

For Hahn, a senior, this will be her fourth trip in as many years to states, while Kellogg, a junior and Beyer, a sophomore, qualified for the first time.

Hahn will also be seeking her second-consecutive PIAA medal.

Beyer, meanwhile, edged her teammate at the D-10 championships and could find herself in medal contention as well.

Kellogg was injured at the beginning of the season, but came on strong in the second half and had his best performance last weekend when it mattered the most.

Hahn and Beyer will race at 10:15 a.m., while Kellogg’s race is at 11:45 a.m. from Hershey’s Parkview Course.
