OIL CITY, Pa. – Caleb Lindell scored five goals and Mark Lynds, Joe Letko and Roman Sheets all scored their first varsity goals as the Warren boys soccer team rolled to a 15-1 win over Oil City on Thursday.

Lindell scored a hat trick in the first 7:16 of the contest and also assisted on the first goal of the game by J.T. Blum, who had a pair of markers.

“We were able to play our entire bench both halves,” said Warren coach Denny Flatt. “There wasn’t a JV game, so we used this as an opportunity to get them a lot of playing time.”

The score was 7-0 at halftime, as Zane Anderson and Wes Kiehl also found the back of the net.

Letko, Sheets and Lynds all scored in the second half, while Corban Reinard had a goal and two assists. Ryon Flatt had a goal in the second half, and Kiehl added his second as well.

“I give credit to the Oil City kids, they kept playing hard,” noted coach Flatt.

The Dragons return to action on Saturday, hosting Franklin for Youth Soccer Day. The girls team hosts Oil City at 10 a.m., followed by the boys at noon
