Sheffield volleyball tops Brockway
BROCKWAY, Pa. – Sheffield volleyball went on the road and swept visiting Brockway on Monday, 25-22, 25-21, 25-6.
“They found their energy in the third set,” said Sheffield coach Melissa Lemay. “Marissa (Grubbs) served us from point 6 to point 20 with eight aces. Megan (Johnson) did a great job mixing the sets up and getting the energy level up in the third.”
Leading the Wolverines were Johnson (14 assists, 6 aces), Grubbs (9 digs), Annabel Sheldon (9 digs, 5 kills) and Lynzie Grubbs (4 kills, 4 blocks).
“After being away last week, Annabel returned and provided 5 kills by finding the open spots on the court,” noted Lemay. Sheldon also had three aces.
The JV team lost, 2-1, 24-26, 25-20, 6-15.
