Warren cross country races to sweep of Corry, Seneca

WATTSBURG, Pa. – The Warren Dragon cross country teams got off to a fantastic start on Tuesday, sweeping through the boys and girls races at Seneca.

The girls edged Corry 27-29, while the boys beat Seneca 25-32 and Corry 23-32. The Seneca girls didn’t have enough runners for team scoring.

In both races, Warren runners went 1-2, Naomi Hahn and Katie Beyer on the girls side and Devon Navaroli and Graham Carr for the boys.

“We knew on the girls side that Corry was going to be close,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. “We had some big races out of our top 5 girls to get into the right positions to win. On the boys side we knew Seneca was our biggest challenge and we executed the race perfectly. We had a lot of new racers today and they certainly didn’t let us down, very happy with today’s performance.”

The Dragons return to action Saturday at the Bradford Invitational.
