BEMUS POINT, NY – Alex Hummel took 15th place for the boys and Madison Cathcart 30th for the girls to lead Eisenhower at the Red Dragon Invitational at Long Point State Park on Saturday.

Hummel clocked in at 18:28 and Cathcart 24:07.

“Alex Hummel was a medalist and that was Madison Cathcart’s best race to date,” said Eisenhower coach Darlene Beach.

Tyson Morrison (26th, 19:10) also had a strong race for the boys.

On the junior high side, Alyssa Wismar (16:17) took seventh place for the girls and Griffin Williams (13:43) ninth place for the boys.

“We had some good performances from the younger kids,” noted Beach. “For some of the kids, this was their first time on the course. It’s a nice course, mostly trails.”

The Knights return to action on Wednesday, as they, along with Youngsville, travel to Union City for a region meet.
