MEADVILLE, Pa. – Warren golfers took a step forward in the season’s second Region 6 megamatch with a fourth place team finish at the Country Club of Meadville Monday.

Owen Blum finished in a tie for ninth while Drew Swanson and Selive Pearson tied for 10th to lead the way for the Dragons. Erie Cathedral Prep again took team honors, while Meadville’s Ryan Ferry shot a 75 to come away with the top individual finish.

Blum shot an 86 on the day, tied with McDowell’s Ricky Federici and Fort LeBoeuf’s Dalton Houpt for ninth overall. Swanson and Pearson were right behind with 87s. Ramblers Evan Rowane and Breckin Taylor tied for second with 78s, Skyler Carr (McDowell) and Michael Mahoney (Meadville) tied for fourth with an 80. Prep’s Phil Pedano (82) was sixth, while teammate Zach Henry tied with Trojan Joey DeAngelo (84) for seventh to round out the top-10.

Dragons Jared Bupp and Zach Rohlin each carded a 95.

The Ramblers shot a 322 team score to lead the team standings. McDowell (338) was second, with Meadville (352) third, Warren (355) fourth, Erie (367) fifth, Fort LeBoeuf (384) sixth and General McLane (439) seventh.

Warren will be back on the links again when the Dragons host the next megamatch Thursday at Blueberry Hill Golf Course.
