Dragons win second straight Fort LeBoeuf camp tourney title

Photo submitted to the Times Observer The Warren Dragons volleyball team repeated as champions of the 26-team Fort LeBoeuf varsity team camp this week. Warren went 9-3 both Tuesday and Wednesday in pool play for an 18-6 overall record and in 3rd place entering Thursday morning’s crossover pool play. A 1-2 record versus Maplewood, Butler, and McDowell in this final pool placed the Dragons as the 5th seed heading to the Gold bracket playoffs. In the playoffs, Warren defeated Cochranton 25-13 in the first round and McDowell 25-21 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, the Dragons faced off against Maplewood and came away a 28-26, 25-22 winner. The other semifinal saw Butler defeat Corry 2-0 setting up the final match. Warren came away with a 25-20, 25-21 victory to secure the camp championship.
