Sheffield's track and field teams closed out the home schedule in style Tuesday with a clean sweep of the tri-meet with Northern Potter and Oswayo Valley.
The girls won by a score of 71-52 over Northern Potter and were 69-44 winners against Oswayo Valley. The boys topped Northern Potter, 90-48, and beat Oswayo Valley, 112-20.
The Lady Wolverines did most of their damage in the field.
They took first in five of the six events against both teams and swept three events against the Panthers. Emily Leichtenberger took first in all three throws against both teams. Kyra Wotorson swept the triple jump and Lily Lauffenberger the high jump.
The boys were a bit more balanced.
The Wolverines swept all three relay races and Delanty Walker (100, 200) and Caden Smead (400, long jump) each won a pair of events. Mitch McNeal won the triple jump, Ethan Finch took the high jump and Nicolas Tanburgh won the 110 hurdles.
The Wolverines will next compete in the Warren County Meet, Thursday, May 9.
