Lady Knights earn win over District 9 foe Smethport

Eisenhower picked up its third win of the season, 9-6 over Smethport on Monday.

Alexis Courtney belted three hits, while Lexi Head had a double and two RBI.

Courtney was the winning pitcher, striking out seven.

“I’m glad to see them finally playing like the strong team I know they are,” said Eisenhower coach Rich Pascuzzi.

Added Amber Fox: “The girls played very, very well, played solid all the way through. They kept their heads up and played very well. It’s nice to see them keep intensity throughout the game. Very good game from first inning to last inning.

Heather Sydlik and Phoebe Tower doubled for the Knights, with Zoe Olsen picking up the win on the mound.

“The JV girls played well,” Fox said. “They were selective at the plate. It’s nice to see them swinging at the good pitches. They played very well together, cheered each other on. We’recoming along well. It’s nice to see them improving every game.”
