Warren girls earn win over Corry

CORRY, Pa. – On a brisk Tuesday afternoon, the Warren girls track and field team came away with an 84-66 win at Corry, while the boys fell by an 87-63 score.

Lydia Latimer, Myah Madril and Naomi Hahn were among the Lady Dragons that led the way.

Latimer tallied three individual first-place finishes in the 200, high jump and long jump. Madril was victorious in the 300 hurdles and the triple jump, while Hahn added a victory in the 800 to her first-place finish in the 1600.

Other standouts included Kyleigh Wilson’s first place finish in the 100, Kayla Giambrone’s impressive run to victory in the 3200 and Sophie Olson’s winning toss in the discus.

Giambrone was also second in the 1600 and Delaney Alcorn added a pair of second-place finishes in the long and triple jumps.

Warren also won the 1600 and 3200 relays.

For the boys, Devon Navaroli, fresh off a strong performance at the Brookville Invite, raced to victory with impressive times in both the 800 and 1600.

Kyle Adams was also a multiple-event winner for the Dragons, taking first in the 200 and triple jump, while adding a second-place finish in the long jump.

Nathan Edwards (100) and Trenten Dippold (3200) were Warren’s other individual event winners.

The 3200 relay team of Graham Carr, Nate Eadie, Dippold and Navaroli also took first.

Jared Bupp was second in both hurdle races, as was Alex Zeigler in both the shot put and javelin.

“A lot of personal bests on a chilly rainy day,” noted Warren coaches Kevin and Elizabeth Dustin. “We added three more district qualifications: Naomi Hahn (800m), Paige Johnson (1600m), and Trenten Dippold (3200m). Overall, we are pleased with both squads today and are looking forward to our break coming up for some much needed rest to get us ready for the rest of the season.”
