Rain forces more schedule changes

As has been the case several times this month, inclement weather forced a number of sports postponements across Warren County Friday.

On the home slate, Eisenhower baseball’s game with Saegertown was postponed as was Warren softball’s home tilt with Erie. No makeup dates were announced.

Warren baseball’s road tilt at Meadville was postponed with no makeup announced. The start for today’s home game against Bradford was pushed back to 1 p.m. First pitch for the Warren softball game at Moniteau today was moved to 2 p.m.

Youngsville baseball’s road trip to Brockway was postponed with no makeup announced. Additionally, the home contest with Kane scheduled for today has been moved to Saturday, May 11 with first pitch at noon.

The Youngsville at Eisenhower softball game set for today has been postponed as well, with no makeup date set. The makeup for the Iroquois at Eisenhower softball contest that was to take place earlier this week was set for Wednesday, May 1.

Stateline delays 2019 opening

BUSTI, NY – Persistent rain has again delayed Stateline Speedway’s scheduled opening for the 2019 season. Opening night will now be May 4 and will feature the Zeleznik Trucking $1,000 to win Challenger Special plus a regular card of heats and features for all other regular divisions.

Stateline Speedway on Kortwright Road in Busti, NY, has been in continuous operation since 1956 and is currently owned by Jim and Jean Scott and Dave Turner. Racing is presented every Saturday night during the racing season, this year through August 31, plus special events and practices. The 2019 regular season will conclude on August 31 with Champions Night.
