ERIE, Pa. – Warren softball won its second Region 7 game in as many days, making quick work of Villa Maria in a 14-0, 6-inning victory.

The top two hitters in the lineup – Lex Nyquist and Julia Lobdell, combined for four hits and five RBIs, while Alex Neureiter was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Alix Lytle was 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Warren (8-1 overall, 2-0 Region 7) scored four runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth to end it.

Ellie Lobdell was her usual, dominant self on the mound, allowing just one hit and striking out 10 without issuing a walk.

“Ellie had her changeup working and was mixing and hitting her spots well,” said Warren coach Jon Sitler. “She also continues to hit well with a first-inning double to put us up early.”

This has been a busy week for the Lady Dragons, and it continues today when they host Erie, followed by a doubleheader at Moniteau on Saturday.

“I’m proud of how we are battling and grinding out wins, and working together as a team,” said Sitler. “Celia had better at bats today, and Alex Neureiter and Alix Lytle hit well to help roll the lineup over.”
