Ike softball falls to Cambridge Springs
Eisenhower softball battled hard on Saturday in what was ultimately an 11-0, 5-inning setback to Cambridge Springs.
Lexi head got the start on the mound, striking out five and allowing seven hits in her five innings of work.
At the plate, Sam Gourley had Ike’s lone hit in the bottom of the fifth.
“Our team played well against a very dominant team,” said Eisenhower coach Rich Pascuzzi.
In the JV game, Cambridge Springs won 16-5.
Morgan Kellogg, Zoie Olson, Krysta Grady and Abbey Frederick all had stolen bases for the Lady Knights, while Phoebe Tower had a bases-clearing double. Kellogg also had a hit.
Madison Mohney and Olson split the work on the mound.
“The JV team continues to improve,” said assistant coach Amber Fox. “It’s nice to see them being selective at the plate and hitting the pitches they want to hit. They’re playing with enthusiasm.”
Eisenhower returns to action on Tuesday at Seneca.
