Dragon tennis blanks Titusville, 5-0

Warren’s boys tennis team took advantage of a depleted Titusville squad to pick up a 5-0 win at Betts Park Tuesday.

The Dragons were hardly challenged, winning each match in straight sets.

“This was a solid team win,” Warren coach Travis Myler said. “We will take it a move from strength to strength.”

Caleb Ei won at first singles via forfeit. Tyler Howard topped Nick Wright at second singles, 6-1, 6-1 and AJ Seyler was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Ty Texter at third.

In first doubles, Eli Korb and Wesley Kiehl defeated Tudor/Miller, 6-0, 6-1, while Stephen Ashbaugh and Max Harrison beat Rea/Vroman 6-0, 6-3 in second doubles.

Seth Connarro and the teams of Aidan Colosimo and James Lawson and Nick Lindsey and Owen Peterson were exhibition winners.

“It’s good to see our team hitting its stride,” Warren associate coach Thomas Pellegrino said. “We have a real opportunity over the next few weeks to show what Dragons tennis is all about.”

The Dragons head to Rocky Grove today and host Harbor Creek Thursday.
